Hi. My name is Tinkerbell and I am four years old. I was very sad and scared when my dear person suddenly passed away earlier this year. Because I am deaf I didn’t know my crying was so loud but I did figure out that people were concerned for me.
They took me to Cat Protection and I still cried because I missed my person and my home but the people here were really kind to me and helped me to settle in. They gave me a big two-storey room with nice beds and good food and lots of reassurance. I didn’t like going to the vets but they said I had early stages of skin cancer on the tips of my white ears, so I had to have surgery. My ears aren’t pointy now, they’re short and round. I was very good when I had my stitches in because I never tried to scratch them or pull them, and my surgery has healed beautifully. Those vets could give some tips to plastic surgeons!
I love playing with light and shadows. It’s nice to have fun again and feel safe. Sometimes the other cats who live here need a bit of swift paw from me, just to keep them in line – so do some of the people sometimes, but you know, you should never pat a girl without asking first, it’s just not polite.
I’ll always love and miss my dear person but I’m glad that I was brought here when she died. A lot of other places wouldn’t have been so patient with my crying, or appreciate my unique communication abilities that come with not hearing, and I know that my surgery cost a lot money that some places wouldn’t have paid for.
So I’m not complaining, but I would love to have another real home. The good thing is, I know that I’ll be safe here until that day comes and the special people here will help me choose the right forever family to call my own.
Here at Cat Protection they say that every cat is beautiful, and that every cat deserves a loving and responsible home. And I have to say that I agree.
Thanks for caring.
Love,
Tinkerbell![]()
