The Cat Protection Society of NSW Inc is an independent organisation founded in 1958 by a group of cat lovers concerned with the plight of homeless street cats. The Society began a program of low cost desexing to reduce the number of kittens and therefore, the number of cats and kittens abandoned.

Today, the Cat Protection Society is a charitable association with modern premises at 103 Enmore Road Newtown. Facilities include an adoption centre, welfare services, information and products to keep your cat happy and healthy. Sadly, we still have to deal with unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens but with your help and greater community awareness, we can continue to work to improve their lives.

Every cat deserves a loving and responsible home!

The 9th Sydney Harbour Swim Classic will be held on Sunday March 14

This is a unique and memorable opportunity for the general public to compete in a community swim event on Sydney Harbour. Swimmers start from the Man'O'War steps heading towards Fort Denison, around Farm Cove and return to the western pontoon of the Man'O'War steps, exiting the water via a purpose built ramp alongside the Sydney Opera House. If you would like to participate and raise funds for our organisation, please check out the Sydney Harbour Swim Classic website at www.sydneyharbourswim.com where you can register and create an online fundraising page.

Microchip your cat for $30 on Wednesday!

Kitten Kindy

If you have recently adopted a kitten and would like some information on how to care for him/her, we have 'Kitten Kindy' classes that may help you. The classes will give you information on raising your kitten in a responsible way, avoiding problem behaviour and training your kitten. Owners have the option to bring the kitten along to the class or to attend without the kitten. He/she must be vaccinated and be 8-12 weeks old.

If you would like to make a booking or require further information, please call our office on 9519 7201 between 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday.
